Another book that gets used an awful lot in my house is this very inexpensive and humble little book.
‘Green Clean eco-friendly cleaning for the home’
I thought it would be a good idea to share some of its contents on a regular basis with every one here.
To
start with here are some standard cleaning recipes for use around the
house that do work but don’t cause damage to the environment. They
usually work out cheaper than buying commercially produced toxic
cleaners too.
All Purpose cleaner no1
3 tablespoons vinegar
½ teaspoon washing soda
½ teaspoon vegetable oil based liquid soap ( difficult to find!!)
450ml or ½ cup very hot water
Mix ingredients in spray bottle, apply and wipe clean.
All purpose cleaner no 2
1 tablespoon borax
55 ml vinegar
900 ml hot water
Mix ingredients together and use from bowl or bucket to wipe floors and/or surfaces.
All purpose spray cleaner
½ teaspoon washing soda
½ teaspoon borax
½ teaspoon vegetable oil based soap
2 tablespoons vinegar
450 ml hot water
Combine
in a spray bottle; shake well until all solids have dissolved. For
extra cleaning power increase borax to 1 teaspoon. Spray and wipe clean
with damp cloth
*Recommended that where vinegar is used it is white vinegar
This
is just a start; I shall be posting bits and pieces from this book on a
fairly regular basis. Hope you find it as useful as I do.

No
Ed, sorry but have never seen it. Was talking some one else about the
ingredients for ecological cleaners and it seems different ingredients
are scarce in different countries
